Making Progress
It's a been good month and I must say, the students really are stepping up to the challenge to learn. Not to say our students don't learn, I'm saying it takes practice and a commitment. This means from the parents as well as us. Our classes are lots of covers all the areas to help them grow and it's great seeing them actually doing things naturally. they appreciate what they can do and we've only scratched the surface. We're adding many new activities to our program and the students are excited and don't forget to stop by and see for yourself.

Something New and Fun
Well once again we come into the fall term and yes we're grateful for our students and the effort they put out. We had a wonderful summer school and our new term has started off in the right direction this also means new students are coming too.
We know that a properly organized school must have materials to meet the needs and provide a positive outcome for the each student. Patricia and Kumiko did some shopping over the weekend and found some great manipulatives for our program and of course, they became a big hit. They are called bristle blocks and they promote hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills as well as creative thinking. I even enjoy them myself and our students show how much they appreciate them too. And the mosiac puzzle has also captured their hearts and imagination as well, I'll feature them on my next post. Look forward to seeing you all here.

Octopus
With summer school coming to a close, we've been quite busy this week and our students have enjoyed it each day. They have had the chance to make wonderful, crafts and today was no exeption. Patricia whom has millions of ideas(not just for crafts either) left me a craft to do with the students. It's a diorama and the students really loved getting it done.
Doesn't take much time to complete and only requires a tissue box, some stones, shells, colored sand or scrap constrution paper, beads, pipe cleaner and glue. The students couldn't wait to get started and we even discuss about octopus and they learned a little something about it too. Kaori whom is pictured in this blog, has been a wonderful addition to the Little Minds team and we're very pleased to have her with us. Let's keep up the good work everyone and enjoy the rest of your summer vacation.

Just cut and paste
Grettings everyone, I'm really impressed with our turnout of students and the progress they make daily. One may see our students working with scissor, glue and making crafts. Well, they communicate, ask questions and articulate themselves quite well. We had went to the park a few days prior and they had saw beatiful butterflies so, I decided to make a nice butterfly craft. Very simple, trace your hands, and make an long oval shape for the body and sequins to decorate and voila! a nice butterfly to put a smile on the parents faces.
Everyone loves shaved ice and so I was happy to make them a nice cool-down treat. There's nothing like shaved ice and it's a favorite second to my yummy popcorn. We have just one week left of summer school and I know everyone has just enjoyed and will be enjoying the last week too. Hope everyone got their homework done. Enjoy your weekend.

It's nice being back
Greetings to everyone and hope you've all enjoyed being at your favorite places or doing your favorite things. I spent my time at home with my family and catching with my studies. I took my children to the beach and we had a great time we even got to the body board and my daugter just loves it. Tyler and I played some dodgeball while Noah just enjoyed the the water and sand.
Meanwhile back at Little Minds, all the students are happy and taking part in lots of activities. Language Arts class did nice pictures of where they went and the preschool and Immersion Classes discussed there summer vacation and made some very cool summer crafts. Yeah, not to mention the yummy snacks that they just love. We have a week of summer school left and everyone is welcome to come. For those of you who are still traveling, have a safe trip and enjoy.
