Time for some fun

Our students never lack a good sense of humor and the motivation to enjoy every lesson. Wednesday, they were just having lots of fun and of course, everyone was speaking English. The activities were simple but the goal was the fun part and they took advantage of the opportunities. We post 12 questions on the board and they must ask a classmate the question. They were just chatting away and we still made time to cover our textbook assignments. The last activity was a nice cool down game the requires the students to read words aloud and identify the picture. It was a challenge but once they got comfortable, it was off to the races and they really got hyped. It was nice to hear them say things like, "I want to do this again next week!" and sentences like, "I wanted to do the lesson longer!" It makes us proud that our students our happy. Summer School starts soon so don't wait to long to sign up. Keep cool and dry.

Doing Just Fine

It's been a busy at Little Minds and we're enjoying each day. The students are have lots of fun and really enjoy the lessons. This past month, they learned about the body and health. Patricia stated on her blog in more details. We did some adjusting with our Learning Centers and it worked out just fine for the students and they do the work with smiles on their faces.

This month will be Summer School and we expect many friends for that and have lots in store for everyone. You don't want to miss it. All in all, we are doing just fine here and I am always thankful for the students that takes part in our programs. It's a good thing. On a final note, one of our staff has moved on and we wish him the best and thanks for your support. Keep cool in the Summer heat.

Keeping Busy

Even the Immersion Classes enjoy working their fingers too and this particular puzzle is very good for enhancing creativity as well as keeping the students engaged in conversation.

The ABC Relay is a favorite for our student who are learning not only how to recognize the alphabet, but also write them in rote and at random. They take it serious and understand that winning means writing them correctly.

It's a pleasure to see our students keeping themselves busy. Keep up the good work

What are they up to?

We are just having lot's of fun in all the classes and everyone really enjoys the lessons. Our Language Arts and Immersion classes learned about health and nutrition so we had let them draw some of their favorite food and also discuss and catagorize different types of healthy foods. The health lesson was entertaining because they we able to see different types of conditions and how to desribe them too. We even had time to put a little bit of music and movement into the lesson and they just loved it.

A half day at the zoo

Okairi nasai! It's good to be back at Little Minds and I must admit, I gained a few extra kilo's but it will not be difficult to get back in my usual good shape. More on the trip later now, Let's see what was happening at Zoorasia. I would like to thank all who joined us and and most off all, our staff Photographer who was kind enough to join us.

As for the trip, our little buddies had a great time looking at the cute animals and just being out in the nice Spring weather. They did such a great job and their little bodies had plenty of power. That is, until they all got on the bus. (see patricia's blog)

The Zoo was nice and easy to get to and best of all, FUN. We were all satisfied and our little-one's just enjoyed it which means, we'll be definately be going back. Until next time, enjoy.
